As a budding Audiophile in the early 2010s.. I had auditioned and subsequently rejected many reputed audio systems. Back then I knew what I didn’t want but hadn’t fully realised what I truly wanted in a system. Then came the day in the year 2015 when I made the decision to visit Rethm’s studio in Kochi. The fully warmed up Gaanam tubes were already playing some beautiful music. It took me only a few seconds to realise what I really wanted in my audio system. My search had ended that very moment. The Rethm Saadhanas had that sound with a certain sense of stillness. The sound was getting produced as if it was coming out of thin air. There was enough detail and dynamics but with a very soothing representation. Till that moment I had only read about musical bass reproduction in the magazines, I experienced it for the very first time with the Rethm Saadhanas.

After a lot of convincing (and only god knows what all….) I could finally manage to buy the Rethm Maargas as they were financially more within my reach and also closer in their performance to the Rethm Saadhanas. It has been almost two years since the purchase; playing the Maargas still brings in the same joy to my mind that I had on that day in Kochi. I have a wide variety of music in my collection. The best part is that these speakers play almost every genre of music in my collection in an authoritative fashion. Few exceptions could be the likes of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. Also, one should note that these are not party speakers however, both the Saadhanas and the Maargas will fill your room with more than adequate decibels of sound.

I heartily recommend these speakers to any Audiophile – experienced or otherwise to at least audition them once before making any decision on their purchase.
